Putting up Shelves Without Paying for a Professional |

Even if you're not the handiest person in the world, it's not that difficult to install shelves by yourself. Just plan ahead and follow the steps below. Before you begin, think about what you'll be putting on the shelf and if the wall is strong enough to support it. You'll need some tools, including an electric drill, a level, and a screwdriver. Don't forget the tape measure and the right screws and wall plugs. Now you're ready to get started. Just follow these simple steps: - Hold the bracket to the wall and mark the position of the hole.
- Drill a hole into the mark.
- Screw the bracket into the wall. Don't screw it in too tight, but tight enough so it stays in place.
- Hold the other bracket in position and lay the shelf on top of them.
- Use your level to make sure the shelf is straight. Move the second bracket until the bubble is in the middle of the level
- Make a mark for the second bracket and drill a hole.
- Place the shelf on the brackets and make sure it's level. Then screw in the brackets tight.
- Screw the shelf to the brackets.
